Versatility is key to the Stooge design ethos. All the frame sets are designed to make great dirt bikes, but other than that they are what you make them. Rigid doesn’t have to mean pedestrian. Hardtail doesn’t have to mean cross country. It’s a bike designed to be ridden, wherever you want to ride it. Stooge frame sets are beyond beautiful, fun to ride, handle sweetly, comfortable and affordable. They are also fast and furious over rough terrain, and all without suspension. How do they do it? All through the bikes superbly designed geometry. There are three frame sets to choose from, one steel and two titanium.
STEEL 29/B+
The steel 29er is where it all begins. Available in one size only, the Stooge runs with slack and low geometry and is designed arounda large offset rigid fork and a 29+ front tyre. Equally at home running B+ wheels and tyres, the handling is sweet and intuitive – single speed hack, all mountain trail bike, bike packing rig – it does it all. Manufactured from aircraft grade 4130 chromoly by Taiwan’s most respected frame builder, the frame features an EBB for foolproof chain tension-ing and geometry adjustment.
Titanium 29
The titanium 29+ frame set takes the Stooge geometry and shoehorns big rubber into the mix. A great choice for bike packing and bicycle based adventures but equally at home as an agile and responsive trail destroyer. All our ti frames are made to order and can be specced to your tastes – EBB or regular threaded, cage mounts on the fork legs, the option of a longer top tube. In the first instance please contact us to discuss your requirements. In general, there is an 8-10 week wait on ti frames from the point of order to delivery.
Titanium B+/29
The titanium 650B+ frame set is designed to be used with 27.5x3.00 tyres or regular 29er wheel sets. The chain stay is the shortest at 17” and the ride and handling are sublime. This bike loves the tight, twisty stuff but is incredibly comfortable and stable when the road opens out. Like all our frame sets it features a slack 69 degree head-angle and 55mm offset forks for unparalleled agility.
