A whopping turn out of 22 eager trail hounds gathered for the Rocky Ride out in May. After a morning of heavy rain the sun rewarded us with it's rays, and we had perfect conditions to try out Rocky Mountains finest bikes. Those available to test were the all new singing dancing Altitude, the trail God Thunderbolt and the titan of grip, the Pipeline!

Our route was the well known Borrowdale bash which throws up a versatile mix of terrain, to make sure the bikes were put through the lake district paces.

The Altitude lived up to all it's expectations and press, by proving itself to be an extremely well rounded and well thought out machine, as we have grown to expect from the guys designing these bikes in Canada. (with a few future proof tricks up it's sleeve...still to be released). It had a tough job to live up to as many of the guys ride and love the current altitude. It's slightly longer, slightly slacker than the old version. Has increased stiffness and most noticeably has an awesome small bump sensitivity...and boy...could this thing climb! You WILL be seeing Adam on the trail on this model...he's a convert!

And of course...as with all good bike rides, it ended at the pub!

Big thanks to Jason from Greenover for making this evening possible.
