Stock updates : November 2020

Hi Guys,

Thought it was time that we touched base and gave you all a bit of an update on the stock situation that we continue to find ourselves in..

2020 has been a crazy one, and the impact of Covid 19 on the bike trade continues to play havoc with our stock supplies that we have failed to see on our shop floors so far this year.

We have really good relationships with our dealers and companies, and the absolute truth on this situation is that we all remain in the dark about when the supply chain will start rolling again and when we will see stock released.

We are not alone in this situation and globally bike shops are struggling to get stock. After the initial lockdown of the pandemic and the surge in cycling, some of the problem stems from not necessarily the actual bike dealerships but the access to components.

Think of how many individual brands Shimano has to provide parts for..and the back log that that one particular company has to catch up with world wide..and then duplicate that for Fox, Rockshox etc to name a few..there’s a lot of catching up to do…

Hence the problem we see on our shop floor. Frustrating for us, frustrating for you.

We remain positive and optimistic and as soon as we know more we will let you all know. But for now thank you again for your patience and support, and lets hope the end of the year starts to see things moving…even if its just a little bit.
